Hero Gaming is committed to encouraging responsible gambling as part of our customer care and as a part of our social responsibility. We know that gambling for some people can cause personal, social, financial and / or health problems, which is why we believe it is our responsibility to ensure that you and all our customers can have a fun and entertaining gambling experience on our site, at the same time as we want you to be aware of the social and financial difficulties associated with gambling problems.

To maintain control

Gambling should only be a fun pastime and not a way to earn an income. Most people manage to treat gambling as a hobby and only spend the money that they can afford to risk, but there are some who cannot.

In order to maintain control of your gambling habits, please keep the following pointers in mind:

  1. Gambling should be moderate and a pastime. It should never be a way to make money.
  2. Avoid chasing your losses.
  3. Only play when you can cover your potential losses.
  4. Keep track of how long time you spend playing, as well as how much money you spend.

If you need a break from gambling, you can either set limits to your account yourself or by contacting customer support via email: [email protected], or completely exclude yourself.

Self-exclusion is an excellent tool that you can use if you feel that you are losing control of your gambling habits. If you are considering self-exclusion, it may also be a good idea to register with SpelPaus.

SpelPaus is a tool that helps you exclude yourself from all gambling companies licensed by the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA). For more information and to register with SpelPaus, please visit their website.

If you are concerned about your gambling habits and need to talk to someone, we encourage you to contact one of the organizations under 'Gambling Advisory Organizations' further down the page.

If you are worried that your gambling habits will have a negative impact on you or someone else, please take time to do a self-test.

Below are several questions you can also ask yourself. Depending on your answers, you can get a better overview of your gambling habits and see if you are at risk of having a gambling addiction. We ask you to try to answer the following questions as honestly as possible:

  1. Has gambling caused you to neglect work or school?
  2. Has gambling ever adversely affected your family life?
  3. Has gambling affected your reputation?
  4. Have you ever had a guilty conscience after gambling?
  5. Have you ever gambled to be able to pay off debts or to otherwise solve financial difficulties?
  6. Has your efficiency or your ambitions been adversely affected by gambling?
  7. Have you felt that you must play more to win back what you lost?
  8. Have you longed to play again and win more after a big win?
  9. Do you often play to the last krona?
  10. Have you ever taken a loan to finance your gambling?
  11. Have you ever sold anything to finance your gambling?
  12. Have you felt a reluctance to use "gambling money" for other expenses?
  13. Has gambling caused you to ignore the well-being of yourself and your family?
  14. Have you ever played longer than you planned for?
  15. Have you ever played online to escape worries or problems?
  16. Have you ever committed or contemplated committing crimes to fund your gambling?
  17. Has your gambling caused sleep problems?
  18. Do quarrels, disappointments or frustrations make you want to gamble?
  19. Have you ever had a desire to celebrate a success with a few hours of gambling?
  20. Has gambling ever made you consider suicide?

If you have answered yes to at least seven of these questions, you might be at risk of having a gambling addiction. Please note that this test does not equal a diagnosis. We offer tools to help you limit your gambling, or if you want to completely self-exclude. More information about these tools can be found further down this page.

If you know that gambling has a negative impact on you, or someone in your vicinity, it is extremely important to talk to someone who can help. We urge you to contact one of the organizations under 'Game Advisory Organizations' immediately.

Responsible gaming tools

In order to comply with SGA requirements, all customers who play under the Swedish Gaming Act must set deposit limits before they can start playing. These limits may be changed at any time when you are logged in to your account.

The limits must be set to a 24-hour, 1 week and 1-month timeframe and will be applied to your account once you have confirmed them.

The limits can be changed at any time. For players from Sweden, and / or those who play under the Swedish Gaming Act, a reduction of the limit will come into effect immediately, while an increase will take place after 72 hours.

If you need more information or assistance regarding these features, please contact our customer support via email: [email protected] or via the chat at the bottom right of the page.

Standard account closure

If you wish to take a break from gambling for any reason (except for gambling problems when self-exclusion must be utilized), we suggest that you close / freeze your account. To close your account, please contact our customer support at: [email protected] or via the chat at the bottom right of the page.

A standard account closure means your account can be reopened upon request. To reopen your account, contact customer support at: [email protected] In some cases, we may ask you for the reopening reason before activating your account again.

We offer a self-exclusion feature that can be activated by you yourself by clicking here when you are logged into your account or by contacting customer support via email: [email protected] For players from Sweden, and those who play under the Swedish Gaming Act, self-exclusion means that your account will remain closed for a minimum period of 1 day.

Before you confirm your self-exclusion request, you will be informed about the consequences of your self-exclusion. Should you decide to self-exclude, we urge you to extend your self-exclusion to SpelPaus.

Any open bets at the time of your self-exclusion will be completed in a normal manner, as per normal times, and if later applied, winnings will be paid out. No self-exclusion can be undone during the agreed period, and your account will not be reactivated under any circumstances during the self-exclusion period.

To reopen your account after the self-exclusion period has expired, a written request must be sent to customer support via email: [email protected] We will then help you return to the site using our standard procedure.

For more information on how we treat self-exclusion, such as closing other accounts on websites managed and operated by the licensee, please visit our Terms and Conditions page. According to our license obligations, you will automatically be excluded from other websites managed or operated by us. This will take place no later than 24 hours after your first self-exclusion request has been issued by us.

During the self-exclusion period, it will NOT be possible to reopen your account and any requests will automatically be denied. You will also be removed from all marketing materials.

We also suggest that you install a program that allows you to block your Internet access to gambling sites.

Betfilter - a program that blocks all game pages.

Filtering solutions allow parents to regulate access to the Internet based on selected criteria. Parents can use filters to prevent their children from accessing gaming sites for example. If you share your computer with friends or family who are underaged, or who have requested self-exclusion from gaming sites, please consider parenting solutions such as:

NetNanny™ and / or CyberPatrol

Underage gambling

It is illegal for anyone under 18 to play or open an account with Hero Gaming and we take this responsibility very seriously. We perform age verification on all customers where payment methods are available to people under 18, as well as random age verification checks on our customers.

Please note that all persons under the age of 18 who use the site will have their profits canceled and risk being reported to the authorities.
